Shared umbrella leads couple to love

For Selina Burgoon and Matt Holder '02, both 27, love began with a forgotten umbrella.

Both in the real estate industry, they attended the same conference in Palo Alto in December 2007. Holder thought he was the only person there under age 55, until he glimpsed a young woman across the room.

Burgoon had a similar realization and turned to her co-worker to ask, "Who's that guy? He looks like Matt Damon." The co-worker responded she didn't know, but had noticed that the man kept looking over at their table.

ALL BELLARMINE FAMILIES -- The Dads of Grads are sponsoring the fourth annual Memorial Mass honoring all family and friends that have passed away. The Mass is open to current parents, students, alums and families of alums. It will be held in the Leontyne Chapel at 7 PM,  followed by a small reception (coffee and cookies) in West Liccardo. Father Paul Sheridan, S.J. will preside over the Mass. Please come and join us as we remember and honor these very special people.

42nd Annual Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner

The 42nd Annual Bellarmine Athletic Hall of Fame will be held Friday, April 13 in the Samuel A. Liccardo Center as three more individuals are added along with the first CCS Championship Track team. The 42nd Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Class includes legendary baseball coach Gary Cunningham, the school all-time winningest baseball coach; tennis player David Stewart '85, the school's first CCS singles champion; multi-sport athlete Ron Caragher '85, who earned letters in football, basketball and track; and the 1990 CCS Champion Track team led by legendary coach Terry Ward, which finished the season No. 2 in State and No. 6 in the country.
